Another region of the Russian Federation may impose restrictions on fuel sales
The Novosibirsk Region is considering imposing a limit on fuel sales at gas stations. This was announced by the region’s governor, Andriy Travnikov.
According to him, such a decision is necessary to prevent panic buying and speculation. He noted that similar restrictions are already in place in neighboring regions, so the authorities plan to follow suit. Travnikov instructed the regional Ministry of Industry and Trade to hold negotiations with the owners of gas station chains.
Temporary restrictions on fuel sales have already been introduced in the Voronezh and Omsk regions. Starting June 23, a limit has been set at Lukoil gas stations in the Voronezh region: no more than 30 liters of gasoline and 60 liters of diesel fuel per vehicle.
