Defense forces killed a lieutenant colonel of the Russian Federation's 41st Army in Donetsk
Thanks to OSINT monitoring, it was possible to identify the Russian officers who were killed during the strike on the command post in Donetsk on September 8, 2025.
At that time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a missile strike against the command post of the Russian Armed Forces’ 41st Combined Arms Army, located on the grounds of the Research Institute of Integrated Automation.
Guards Lieutenant Colonel Sergey Konoplyov was killed in the attack on the facility.
The Russian officer held the position of deputy chief of communications—an engineer in the communications department of the headquarters of the 41st Guards Combined Arms Army (military unit 64128).
Also during this strike on September 8, 2025, another officer from the communications unit command was killed, but his name and rank could not be determined.
