Defence Forces regain control of Chuhunivka in the Kharkiv region
Ukrainian defenders have successfully completed an operation to clear the village of Chuhunivka in Kharkiv region.
Thanks to coordinated actions by intelligence and infantry units, the enemy group was eliminated, and the Ukrainian flag once again flew over the village.
According to the 16th Army Corps, Russian occupiers attempted to use difficult weather conditions to advance unnoticed. However, their plans were foiled at the initial stage of the operation.
Despite poor visibility and adverse conditions, reconnaissance drone operators detected enemy movements in time. This allowed the command to respond promptly to the attempt to infiltrate Ukrainian defensive lines.
The specialised “Shkval” company took direct part in the operation, methodically securing every sector of the settlement. Under the pressure of Ukrainian assault forces, the enemy was unable to mount prolonged resistance.
It should be recalled that Ukrainian drones continue to eliminate enemy forces faster than Russia can replenish its army.
In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the “Sontsepyok” system on Russian territory for the first time.
