Russia attacked Ukraine with “Shaheds,” Defense Forces shot down 50 enemy drones
On the night leading into Wednesday, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down 50 enemy drones, though debris fell in seven locations.
This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Air Force.
“According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 AM, air defense shot down/suppressed 50 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerber, and other types in the south and east of the country. Impacts of 29 strike UAVs were recorded at seven locations,” the report said.
On the night of December 10 (from 6:00 PM on December 9), the enemy launched about 80 strike UAVs of various types, approximately 50 of which were Shaheds.
The aerial attack was repelled by aviation, surface-to-air missile units, electronic warfare units, UAV units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 9:00 AM, the attack was still ongoing, with individual enemy drones detected in Ukrainian airspace.
Russian forces carried out a nighttime attack with strike drones on Odesa region, hitting a critical infrastructure facility in the city of Artsyz.
Russians also attacked Zaporizhzhia region with cluster munitions.
Additionally, Russia attacked Dnipropetrovsk region, resulting in one death and two children among the injured.
