Air Defence Forces eliminated dozens of aerial targets during the night attack
On the night of February 16 (from 06:00 p.m. on February 15), the enemy attacked with four Zircon anti-ship missiles from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, one Iskander-M ballistic missile from Bryansk Oblast, one guided air-launched Kh-31P missile from the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, as well as 62 strike unmanned aerial vehicles of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types and other unmanned aerial vehicles from the directions of Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation, and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. About 40 of them were Shahed-type drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned aerial vehicle units, and mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defence forces had shot down or suppressed two Zircon anti-ship missiles and 52 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types and other drones.
Hits from one missile and nine strike unmanned aerial vehicles were recorded at eight locations, and debris from the shot-down targets fell at two locations.
Information regarding three enemy missiles is being clarified.
