U.S. special forces used Ukrainian Magura maritime drones for the first time during exercises in the Philippines. During the tests, the drone successfully struck and sank a target ship.

According to the publication, this marked the first use of Ukrainian Magura maritime drones in the Indo-Pacific region. During the exercises, the drone struck the ship’s hull, causing it to sink.

Bloomberg notes that naval drones enable reconnaissance, mine-laying, and strikes without putting ship crews at risk. Another advantage is their relatively low cost—several hundred thousand dollars per unit, which is cheaper than modern American torpedoes.

Oleg Roginsky, CEO of Uforce, said the manufacturer is already in talks with countries in the Indo-Pacific region and is considering opening at least two production facilities.

According to Bloomberg, Ukrainian Magura naval drones have already destroyed about ten Russian warships in the Black Sea.

In Taganrog, Russia, a power substation that supplied electricity to the Atlant-Aero defense enterprise was damaged. As a result, production lines involved in the manufacture of drones were disrupted.

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, fires broke out at a number of energy and infrastructure facilities following a nighttime attack. In particular, there are reports of fires at the Tavriya Thermal Power Plant and gas facilities in various regions of the peninsula.
