A ship traveling from the U.S. to Ukraine sustained damage in the Black Sea

Initially, the ship’s captain reported the damage and requested assistance, as the possibility of evacuating the crew could not be ruled out. Upon receiving the signal, Romanian authorities launched a response operation. The rescue vessels SAR Apollo and SAR Artemis, which belong to the Romanian Agency for the Safety of Life at Sea, were dispatched to the scene of the incident.
