Sumy was attacked with KAB bombs for the second time today; there are casualties

On the afternoon of October 4, Russian troops again attacked Sumy with guided bombs. According to preliminary reports, six people were injured, two of them seriously, and fires broke out in residential areas.

The Russians launched a new massive airstrike on Sumy around 2:00 p.m. According to Serhiy Kryvosheyko, head of the Sumy City Military Administration, six guided bombs were dropped on the city. “The city had not yet recovered from the previous attack when, at 2:00 p.m., Russia again launched a massive airstrike on Sumy with six guided bombs,” Kryvosheyenko wrote.

Impacts were recorded in two districts of the city at once—Zarichny and Kovpakivsky. The attack struck a private residential area. Residential buildings were damaged as a result of the attack. Fires also broke out at both impact sites. According to preliminary reports, at least six people were injured. Two of them sustained serious injuries.

Rescue workers and relevant services are currently on the scene. They are dealing with the aftermath of the attack and assessing the extent of the damage. This is not the first strike on Sumy on October 4. Russian forces launched a new attack before the city had even had time to recover from the previous shelling. The Sumy City Military Administration continues to gather information on the consequences of the Russian strike and the number of casualties. Serhiy Kryvosheyenko, head of the Sumy City Military Administration, reported this on Telegram.

On the night of October 4, Russian forces launched 135 drones into Ukrainian territory, including “Shahed,” “Gerbera,” “Banderole”/“Dan-T,” and decoy drones.

On the morning of October 4, Russian forces struck downtown Dnipro, hitting the premises of a telecommunications company.

In the Dnipro district of the capital, debris from enemy drones was found at two locations on the morning of October 4. This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
