Throughout March, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense’s demining units cleared 876 hectares of land.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense, citing the Main Directorate for Mine Action, Civil Protection, and Environmental Safety.

Demining specialists have detected and destroyed 557 explosive devices (481,590 since the start of Russia’s large-scale invasion).

As noted by the agency, the mine threat remains serious. As of early April, 1,431 people—including 147 children and 1,284 adults—have been injured by Russian mines and explosive remnants of war.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has engaged demining units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service to clear liberated territories of explosive ordnance.

In February, Ministry of Defense units cleared 800 hectares of liberated territories of mines.
