In Kherson, a branch of Oschadbank was destroyed as a result of Russian shelling. Despite the damage, the bank’s employees continue to serve customers, though they are now providing services at a different location.

Russia shelled an Oschadbank branch in Kherson

On September 22, a Russian artillery shell struck an Oschadbank building in Kherson. The building sustained significant damage, according to a statement.

“Thanks to the timely relocation of the branch’s operations to a safer location, no employees were injured—people, property, and valuables were evacuated in advance,” Oschadbank noted.

Oschadbank CEO Yuriy Katsion assured that the bank’s top priority is the lives and health of its employees and customers.

“Changes in branch operations or their temporary closure are necessary measures taken solely for the sake of people’s safety,” he said.

"Oschadbank" continues to operate

The financial institution is ensuring the continuity of its services. To this end, mobile banking units—15 branches based in vehicles—are operating:

• 10 in frontline regions,

• 5 in remote communities.

Oschadbank maintains one of the largest banking networks in the country—1,150 branches. Of these, 460 are part of the POWER BANKING system—they have autonomous power supplies and backup communication systems, according to the post.

In addition, customers can conduct most banking transactions remotely through Oschadbank’s online services.

Internet service disruptions occurred in Kyiv following the Russian Federation’s attack on the data center.

100,000 households in Kyiv and the surrounding region were left without stable internet access due to the Russian attack, according to the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

Since the evening of September 22, Russian troops have attacked two districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 10 times. The occupiers used drones and dropped aerial bombs; one person was injured as a result of the attacks.
