A fire broke out at a market in Khmelnytskyi following a drone attack

A fire broke out at a market in Khmelnytskyi following yet another drone attack. Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn reported that information regarding possible casualties is currently being verified.

According to the mayor, air defense forces were active in the city. The attack caused a fire at one of the markets; rescue workers and all relevant emergency services are on the scene.

“Information about casualties is being verified. Details to follow,” Symchyshyn noted.

On the night of September 9, Russia attacked Ukraine with “Iskander-M” and S8000 “Banderole,” as well as 196 Shahed-type strike drones, including jet-powered ones, “Gerbera” drones, and “Parodia” decoy drones. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, as of this morning, air defense systems had shot down or neutralized 165 targets, while strikes were recorded at 23 locations.
