Zelenskyy also reported that a man was killed as a result of the nighttime attack on the capital. “A man was killed in Kyiv when a drone struck,” the president wrote.
According to him, Russian strikes last night also caused fatalities in other regions. In particular, three people were killed in the Zaporizhzhia region, according to his information. Residential buildings, energy facilities, and other civilian infrastructure were targeted.
Attacks on Ukraine Have Increased
Zelenskyy stated that this week alone, Russia launched more than 2,200 attack drones, about 1,650 aerial bombs, and 38 missiles of various types at Ukraine. A significant portion of the missiles, he said, were ballistic. The president noted that Russian attacks overnight affected several regions at once.
“Residential buildings, energy facilities, and other civilian infrastructure in the Odesa, Kharkiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Poltava, Zhytomyr, and Kyiv regions were targeted last night,” Zelenskyy said.
This is not the first time Russia has attacked data centers
Strikes on data centers have become one of the prominent targets of Russian attacks on Ukraine’s digital infrastructure in recent days. On September 23, a Russian attack damaged one of Kyiv’s data centers, which housed the core equipment of the internet service provider UTELS. As a result, approximately 100,000 households in Kyiv and the surrounding region experienced internet problems.
On September 24, following new strikes, damage was reported to the infrastructure of the providers Domonet, Kievnet, and Faust. On the same day, a data center belonging to the hosting provider MiroHost was destroyed.
On September 25, a Russian attack damaged the data center of the company “Datagroup.” The day before, on September 25, at a meeting of the High Command, the president had already emphasized the need to strengthen the protection of data centers and other critical communications infrastructure. According to him, additional decisions regarding their protection were adopted at that time.
Zelenskyy called on partners to increase pressure on Russia
Separately, the president stated that Ukraine continues to work with international partners to strengthen its defenses against Russian attacks. According to him, Ukraine maintains contacts with European countries, the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, and other nations.
At the same time, Zelenskyy stated that, in his opinion, the stance of a number of major powers remains insufficiently strong. “We are constantly working with Europe, the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, and other partners to strengthen our defenses and pursue effective diplomacy. But, unfortunately, there is a lack of a consistently strong stance from China and India, Brazil and South Africa, the G20 countries, and the Global South,” the president wrote.
He added that, in his view, these nations have influence over Russia and can join efforts to end the war. “Building guaranteed, dignified security here in Ukraine means contributing to global security and stability. I thank everyone who is not standing idly by and is helping Ukraine,” Zelenskyy noted. Emergency services are currently continuing to work at the sites of the strikes in Kyiv and other regions. In Brovary, Kyiv Oblast, a fire broke out on the grounds of an industrial enterprise due to debris from a downed Russian drone. The fire occurred in the industrial zone. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties.

In Brovary, Kyiv Oblast, a Russian drone attacked a logistics and industrial center. A fire broke out and heavy smoke filled the area following the strike. Preliminary reports indicate there are no casualties.
