Twenty-one people injured in the massive Russian attack on Kyiv on May 24 remain in hospitals in the capital. Two children are among those hospitalized.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported this on Telegram.

According to the mayor, a total of 86 people were injured in the shelling, and two others were killed.

Meanwhile, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that the number of casualties in Kyiv has risen to 87, including three minors.

The Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital suffered the most damage. There, a stairwell of a five-story residential building was destroyed by a direct hit. Rescuers recovered the bodies of two women who had died.

To carry out search and rescue operations, State Emergency Service personnel had to dismantle 165 square meters of damaged reinforced concrete structures. Additionally, K-9 units searched over 100 square meters of the area, and psychologists provided assistance to more than a hundred victims.
