All victims of Russia’s night attack on Kyiv have been identified

Authorities have identified all individuals killed in the nighttime combined Russian attack on Kyiv, according to the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.

In the Dnipro district of the capital, three people died — a 49-year-old woman and two men aged 41 and 54. Another victim was recorded in the Darnytsia district: a 56-year-old medic who had arrived at the scene to assist residents of a multi-storey building and succumbed to his injuries.

In total, 26 people were injured, sustaining various physical injuries. Among them were five State Emergency Service (DSNS) rescuers, four medical workers, and one police officer.

Law enforcement continues to document the aftermath of this Russian war crime, recording damages and collecting evidence.

The number of casualties from the Russian combined attack on Kyiv has now risen to 26 injured and four killed.

During the night of 9 January, Russian forces carried out a massive attack on Kyiv using drones and missiles from multiple directions, making it difficult to intercept all targets simultaneously.

Between 07:30 p.m. on 8 January and the early hours of 9 January, the enemy launched a combined strike on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, employing strike UAVs as well as sea- and land-based missiles.

Russian forces inflicted a massive strike on residential areas in Kyiv, damaging civilian property across several districts, including Darnytsia, Dnipro, Desnianskyi, Pecherskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi.
