The number of casualties in Kyiv following the Russian attack has risen; among them are children
In Kyiv, the number of people injured in the Russian missile and drone attack on September 17 has risen to 16. Among them are two children.
“There are currently 16 casualties in the capital. Among them are two children,” the mayor said.
According to police, the effects of the Russian strike were observed in the Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi, and Solomianskyi districts.
Russian forces once again attacked the capital with missiles and drones.
The strike damaged residential apartment buildings, educational institutions, a municipal building, vehicles, and railroad tracks.
Among the victims are a 10-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy. According to law enforcement officials, most of the victims are residents of the damaged 16-story building in the Dniprovskyi district.
Investigation and response teams, bomb disposal experts, and other specialized services are working at the sites of the strikes.
Law enforcement officials are documenting the aftermath of the Russian attack and collecting evidence of yet another war crime committed by the Russian Federation.

On the night of September 17, Russian troops carried out a massive combined attack on Ukraine. The occupiers used ballistic and cruise missiles, anti-ship missiles, and more than 150 attack drones, focusing their main strikes on the Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Odesa regions.
Russia also launched missile strikes on Zaporizhzhia, resulting in casualties.
Earlier, Russia struck Odesa and damaged a high-rise building.
On September 15, a Russian drone strike was recorded in Kyiv’s Svyatoshynsky District. Black smoke is rising from the site.
In the Solomyanskyi district of the capital, a strike was recorded on the grounds of a garage cooperative.
