All passenger trains in Crimea have been suspended following a drone attack

All passenger train service in the temporarily occupied Crimea has been completely suspended following a successful drone attack.

The drone struck the locomotive of a passenger train traveling on the Moscow–Simferopol route

As a result of the direct hit, there are casualties among the train crew, and passenger service on the peninsula has been blocked.

The so-called head of the peninsula’s occupation administration, Sergey Aksyonov, confirmed that an enemy UAV struck the diesel locomotive.

According to preliminary data released by representatives of the invaders, the engineer was injured, and his assistant was killed on the spot. At the same time, the occupiers note that there are no casualties among the passengers.

The train was struck by an airstrike near the village of Oktyabrskoye. Due to the complete halt of rail service, the invaders are forced to organize an evacuation.

Currently, people from the stopped train cars are being transported to their destinations by bus.

Commuter train service has been suspended in occupied Crimea

As a reminder, the fuel situation in occupied Crimea continues to deteriorate. Lines at gas stations are now measured not by the number of cars, but by kilometers.

On the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula, problems have arisen with the operation of banking services and payment terminals. Local residents report that cashless payments are increasingly becoming unavailable due to glitches in the payment system.
