At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening, September 18, Russian occupiers struck the Ukrainian capital with ballistic missiles. The consequences of this latest attack are currently unknown.
A warning was issued by the Ukrainian Air Force Command on its Telegram channel.
Initial reports indicated a missile flying toward Kyiv via Brovary, then through the Chernihiv region toward the Kyiv region. An explosion was heard.
“Air defense forces are operating in the capital. Kyiv is under ballistic missile attack. Stay in shelters!” Klitschko wrote. The mayor urged Kyiv residents not to leave their shelters until the air raid alert has ended.
