A sailor from a ship attacked by Russia in the Black Sea has died in Romania

One of the sailors injured in the Russian attack on the commercial vessel GAS LISBON off the coast of Romania has died in a Romanian hospital. The cause of death was inhalation injury and related pulmonary complications.

Two other crew members, citizens of the Philippines, remain in the intensive care unit. According to doctors, their condition is stable and their lives are not in danger.

The GAS LISBON was en route from Alexandria, Egypt, to the Ukrainian port of Reni, carrying nearly 3,800 metric tons of propane. At the time of the attack, it was in Romania’s exclusive economic zone in the Black Sea.

Crew members of the tanker Gas Lisbon, which was struck off the coast of Romania, stated that the vessel was attacked by three strike drones.

Russian forces launched a missile strike on a civilian vessel flying the flag of Guinea-Bissau. As a result of the attack, five crew members were killed, eight others were evacuated, and the fate of five remains unknown.

In the Black Sea, Russia attacked a foreign merchant ship flying the flag of Antigua and Barbuda. One person was killed, and three others were wounded.
