An airport and a gas station in Sochi were closed due to the threat of a drone attack
In Sochi, Russia, a series of restrictive measures have been implemented due to the threat of drone attacks, affecting operations at the local airport, gas stations, a border checkpoint, and entertainment venues.
Following a decision by Rosaviatsia, the city’s airport has temporarily suspended the arrival and departure of civilian aircraft to ensure flight safety.
At the same time, all gas stations in the resort town have suspended operations in accordance with internal safety regulations. Once the alert is lifted, gas stations will not resume operations immediately but will wait 15–20 minutes, provided there is no renewed threat. Traffic through the “Psou” checkpoint on the border with Abkhazia has also been temporarily suspended, and amusement parks in Sochi and the “Sirius” federal territory have been closed.

In Sochi, Russia, an attack by drones on the seaport was reported. Local residents reported loud explosions in the city center, after which people were urged to leave the port area.
On the night of September 2, the Moscow Region of Russia came under a massive drone attack. According to the region’s governor, Andrei Vorobyov, Russian air defense forces allegedly shot down 56 drones over the region.
