Strike on the Kharkiv region: mother and child killed, others injured (photo)
On the night of 9 February, in the Kharkiv region, specifically in the city of Bohodukhiv, Russian drones attacked a private residential area, resulting in one house being completely destroyed.
The bodies of those killed — a woman and her 10-year-old son — were found beneath the rubble. Three other people were injured, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported.
A fire that broke out over an area of 50 square metres was quickly extinguished by rescue workers.
“Last night, the enemy attacked the private sector of the city of Bohodukhiv with strike drones. One of the hits struck a residential building, which was completely destroyed. A fire broke out over an area of 50 sq m and was put out,” the statement said.
This incident highlights the ongoing threat to civilians in Ukraine posed by attacks by Russian armed forces. The authorities are urging residents to remain cautious and to follow safety guidelines.
