Ukrainian forces have almost completely driven the occupiers out of Kupiansk — Zelensky
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukrainian defenders have almost completely cleared Kupiansk of Russian troops.
He announced this during a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron.
Zelensky noted that Russia continues to conduct several offensive operations, but none of them have yielded results for the occupiers. According to him, the most difficult situation continues in Pokrovsk, but Ukrainian troops are making significant progress in the Kupiansk direction.
‘Russia says it has captured Kupiansk, but to be honest, we have almost completely cleared the city,’ the president emphasised.
During the period from 30 November to 1 December, 171 combat clashes were recorded on the front line.
