The Russian Ministry of Defense reported a massive drone attack across several regions
On the night of August 25–26, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a large number of attack drones at various regions of Russia. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that its air defense forces allegedly shot down 426 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones.
The Russian Defense Ministry claims that the airstrike lasted from 8:00 p.m. on August 25 to 7:00 a.m. on August 26.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the drones were reportedly spotted over:
- the Belgorod region;
- the Bryansk region;
- the Kursk Oblast;
- the Oryol region;
- the Kaluga region;
- Tula Oblast;
- Lipetsk Oblast;
- Voronezh Oblast;
- Tambov Oblast;
- Ryazan Oblast;
- Nizhny Novgorod Oblast;
- Volgograd Oblast;
- Rostov Oblast;
- the Moscow region;
- Krasnodar Krai;
- the temporarily occupied Crimea.
At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense does not specify the total number of drones that Ukraine may have deployed, but only reports that 426 UAVs were allegedly neutralized.
As of the morning of August 26, it is known that Ukrainian FP-1 drones simultaneously attacked an oil refinery in the Nizhny Novgorod region and a large Wildberries logistics warehouse in the Tambov region.
Specifically, this refers to the “Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez” oil refinery in Kstovo. According to open-source reports, explosions were heard near the facility around 3:40 a.m.
Soon after, footage of a massive fire near the plant began circulating online.
The Wildberries logistics hub in Kotovsk, Tambov Region, was also targeted.
Information regarding the consequences of the attack and possible damage to other facilities is currently being verified.

As a reminder, Ukrainian FP-1 drones struck two key facilities in Russia overnight—an oil refinery in the Nizhny Novgorod region and a large Wildberries logistics hub in the Tambov region.
On the night of August 26, drones repeatedly attacked the Wildberries logistics center in Kotovsk, Tambov Region, Russia, after which a massive fire broke out at the facility. According to Russian authorities, the fire covered an area of at least 40,000 square meters, and one employee was injured.
As a reminder, the Orsk Oil Refinery in the Orenburg region of the Russian Federation completely halted operations following an attack by Ukrainian drones.
