Photo: Industrial facility catches fire in Odesa after overnight drone attack
During the night of 29 January, Russia launched a strike on Odesa using attack drones, causing a fire at one of the city’s industrial facilities.
The incident was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.
According to him, rescuers and other emergency services were dispatched to the scene immediately and began dealing with the consequences of the attack.
The fire spread across the enterprise’s premises following the strikes, while the blast wave caused additional damage. Warehouse facilities and production buildings were damaged, and lorries parked nearby were also affected.
Kiper stressed that there were no fatalities or injuries.
“All emergency services are working to eliminate the consequences of the enemy attack,” he said.
The Regional Military Administration уточнив that during the same attack, one of the infrastructure facilities was also hit. The consequences of the strikes are still being clarified, and specialised services continue to inspect the damaged areas.
Residents are urged not to ignore air raid warnings and to follow safety rules during aerial attacks.
It is recalled that the enemy had earlier attacked an infrastructure facility in Odesa with drones.
Drones also struck an oil depot in Russia’s Voronezh region.
