Russia reports attack on gas infrastructure in Krasnodar Krai
Russian authorities in Krasnodar Krai reported an attack on gas infrastructure linked to the TurkStream pipeline. According to Ukrainian media, the attack targeted oil terminals in the Tikhoretsk District of Krasnodar Krai.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated.
“Kyiv carried out a UAV strike on the ‘Rossiyskaya’ station in Kuban to halt gas supplies to EU consumers.” However, the ministry added that no damage was reported at the station.
The Rossiyskaya station supplies gas via the TurkStream pipeline.
Earlier, on the night of March 12, drones struck an oil depot in Tikhoretsk District, causing explosions and a large fire.
The city of Sochi has also been under continuous drone attack for more than a day. The strikes targeted the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines, which deliver gas to Turkey and other European countries. One person was injured, and several homes caught fire from falling drone debris. Sochi Mayor Andrei Proshunin described this as the longest attack on the city since the war began.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces broke through Russian defenses in southern Dnipropetrovsk region.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense mocked Russian claims regarding the strike on Bryansk.
