According to eyewitness reports on social media, starting at 12:11 a.m., more than 20 explosions were heard in the sky over Volgograd, mainly in its central and southern parts, causing car alarms to go off en masse on the streets.
Andrey Bocharov, governor of the Volgograd region, confirmed the airstrike. According to him, one apartment building sustained damage as a result of the incident.
