Video: Zelenskyy Confirms Strikes on Logistics Centers in Three Regions of Russia
On July 31, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Ukrainian forces had carried out strikes on three logistics facilities on Russian territory. According to him, the attacks targeted facilities in Sarapul, Kazan, and Volgograd. The president did not disclose any details of the operations.
According to the president, the strikes were carried out as part of a “long-range sanctions” strategy and targeted Russian infrastructure facilities supporting the war against Ukraine. “Our strikes as part of the long-range sanctions plan are always about delivering a just response to ensure that the Russian war machine loses its resources,” Zelenskyy stated.
Zelenskyy clarified that the targets were located at distances ranging from approximately 500 to nearly 1,300 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
In addition, according to Zelenskyy, Ukrainian forces struck a maritime terminal in the Krasnodar Krai, located approximately 270 kilometers from the front line. An oil refinery in the Volgograd region, located nearly 480 kilometers from the front line, was also struck.
The president added that strikes were also recorded in the waters of the Sea of Azov. “We are defending our people and will continue to act as necessary to achieve peace,” the head of state emphasized.
As a reminder, on the night of July 29, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes on a number of military and infrastructure targets on the territory of Russia and in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Among the targets struck were the Ryazan Oil Refinery, a base for Russian Black Sea Fleet vessels, a radar station, and military logistics facilities.
