The enemy struck infrastructure in Volyn Oblast
On the evening of December 25, Russian forces carried out a strike on critical infrastructure in Volyn Oblast during an air-raid alert. The attack, which took place on Christmas, targeted a facility important for the functioning of the region and is seen as another form of pressure on the civilian population.
This was reported by the head of the Volyn Regional Military Administration, Ivan Rudnytskyi, on Telegram.
Details on the damage are expected, as specialized services continue to inspect the area.
According to official information, the shelling did not result in any casualties. All emergency services were promptly involved in dealing with the aftermath. This incident was rare for western Ukraine, where the aggressor had previously focused strikes mainly on the central and southern regions of the country.
The enemy attacked Kherson; one man was killed and three people were wounded.
