Russian losses exceed 1,254,000 military personnel — General Staff data
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Defence Forces of Ukraine have reportedly eliminated approximately 1,254,450 Russian servicemen. In the past 24 hours alone, enemy losses increased by 1,180 personnel. In addition, 11,676 tanks, 24,042 combat armored vehicles, and 37,319 artillery systems of the enemy have been destroyed.
This information was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The published data reflect significant losses of Russian personnel and equipment since the start of the large-scale war.
Russian army losses
According to estimates, total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to February 16, 2026, are approximately:
- Personnel: about 1,254,450 (+1,180)
- Tanks: 11,676 (+4)
- Combat armored vehicles: 24,042 (+5)
- Artillery systems: 37,319 (+26)
- Multiple launch rocket systems: 1,648 (+0)
- Air defense systems: 1,301 (+1)
- Aircraft: 435 (+0)
- Helicopters: 347 (+0)
- Operational-tactical level unmanned aerial vehicles: 135,459 (+601)
- Cruise missiles: 4,286 (+0)
- Ships / boats: 29 (+0)
- Submarines: 2 (+0)
- Automotive vehicles and fuel tankers: 78,654 (+169)
- Special equipment: 4,071 (+0)

The General Staff also provided details regarding the drone strike on Taman.
Earlier reports indicated that on the night of February 15, 2026, the Russian Krasnodar Krai experienced one of the largest drone attacks in recent times. Drones also attacked Volgograd region.
