Over the past 24 hours, Russia has lost 930 troops in the war against Ukraine
The total combat losses of Russian forces in manpower from 24 February 2022 to 17 March 2026 have reached approximately 1,280,860 personnel. Over the last day, a further 930 troops were killed.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
As of 17 March, Ukrainian defenders have also destroyed a significant amount of enemy military equipment, including:
- 11,783 (+2) tanks
- 24,218 (+3) armoured combat vehicles
- 38,477 (+20) artillery systems
- 1,688 (+1) multiple launch rocket systems
- 1,333 (+0) air defence systems
- 435 (+0) aircraft
- 349 (+0) helicopters
- 183,144 (+1,991) operational-tactical UAVs
- 4,468 (+0) cruise missiles
- 33 (+0) ships and boats
- 2 (+0) submarines
- 83,744 (+120) vehicles and fuel tankers
- 4,091 (+0) units of special equipment
The General Staff noted that the figures are still being clarified.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Defence Forces successfully disrupted a strategic offensive operation that the enemy had been preparing for March 2026.
It was also reported that in early March, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukrainian intelligence had obtained documents outlining Russian plans for 2026–2027.
Zelenskyy emphasised the strategic importance of involving China in efforts to end Russia’s aggression.
