The Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated another 1,470 invaders on the front lines and destroyed 82 artillery systems
The total combat losses of the Russian army since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine—from February 24, 2022, to August 1, 2026—have reached approximately 1,447,620 soldiers.
Over the past day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated another 1,470 invaders.
As of August 1, 2026, Russian military losses stand at:

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the data on Russian military losses is being updated.

Ukrainian intelligence intercepted a conversation between a Russian soldier from the Zaporizhzhia sector, in which he complains about the situation at his position and asks his commander for water and a lighter. According to the soldier, he has been left without essential supplies and does not really understand whether anyone intends to help him. The Main Intelligence Directorate stated that the soldier is a member of the Russian Army’s 36th Motorized Rifle Brigade.
As a reminder, Russian drones attacked the Chernihiv region, damaging a gas station and a resort.
Russia launched a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv on the afternoon of July 24, although such attacks usually occur at night. An expert believes this could have been an attempt to wear down Ukraine’s air defense, a show of force, or the result of a technical delay in the missile launch.
