UAF Strikes in Crimea and Russian Rear Positions

On the night of April 8, the Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out a series of strikes on Russian military targets. The attacks hit fuel depots, storage facilities, and equipment positions, including in occupied Crimea. This is part of a systematic effort to destroy enemy logistics, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Ukrainian forces continue targeting the rear of the Russian army. On the night of April 8, the Defense Forces struck key facilities that supply the occupiers with fuel, equipment, and ammunition.

Among the main targets were fuel depots in occupied Crimea. In Feodosia, a fire broke out following the strike. Damage was also reported near Hvardiiske. These facilities are used by the Russian army to store fuel, without which their equipment cannot operate.

In addition, Ukrainian forces hit logistical storage sites. Facilities in Svitlyne in the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia, Sukhodilsk in Luhansk, and near Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk were targeted.

Strikes were also reported on a field artillery depot near Yalta, a drone storage site in the Stepne area, and an ammunition warehouse in Uralo-Kavkaz.

Separately, Ukrainian forces attacked technical and military positions, including an electronic intelligence station near Novozerne and the positional area of the Bastion coastal missile system near Sofiivka in occupied Crimea.

The General Staff emphasizes that these strikes are not isolated actions but part of a systematic campaign. “These actions are aimed at weakening the enemy’s combat potential and reducing their ability to conduct offensive operations,” the Defense Forces noted.

Exact Russian losses are still being confirmed, but the main effect is already clear — the enemy is losing resources necessary for war. Ukrainian forces stressed that they will continue targeting occupiers’ logistics. The goal remains unchanged — to weaken the Russian army and disrupt its ability to conduct combat operations.

Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that the strategic goal of the invaders is currently to capture additional territory to create a so-called “buffer zone” within Dnipropetrovsk region.

The Defense Forces of Ukraine are adjusting military training to effectively counter enemy drones and modern battlefield threats.
