Ukrainian forces strike oil refinery in Russia and hit several other enemy targets

Ukraine’s Defence Forces have carried out a series of strikes against facilities supporting the Russian military, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

In particular, on the night of 11 February, the Volgograd Oil Refinery in the city of Volgograd (Russia), which had been used to support Russian occupation forces, was struck. A fire broke out at the site, and assessments of the damage are ongoing.

In temporarily occupied Crimea, near the settlement of Lobanove, Ukrainian forces also hit an enemy fuel and lubricants depot.

In the area of Balochky in temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region, Ukrainian forces conducted fire strikes on a Russian logistics and supply warehouse.

Additionally, near Liubymivka, a concentration area of Russian military equipment came under attack, while near Huliaipole, Ukrainian forces targeted a concentration of personnel from a unit belonging to the “Rubikon” centre.

Among other targets, an Osa surface-to-air missile system was struck near Tretiaky in the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk region, and a Russian Tor air defence missile system was hit near Voskresenske in occupied Kherson region.

In January 2026, the number of Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian oil refineries reportedly fell to its lowest level in six months for unknown reasons. This allowed the Kremlin to stabilise the domestic fuel market and resume petrol exports a month earlier than experts had forecast.

Earlier, on the night of 26 January, Ukrainian Defence Forces units struck infrastructure at the Slavyansk Eco oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, Krasnodar region, Russia.
