Ukrainian forces spot Russian ground drone “Chelnok” on the frontline for the first time

On the Kharkiv frontline, Ukrainian troops observed the Russian all-terrain ground robotic system “Chelnok.”

The detection was reported by the 11th Army Corps of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.

This marks the first confirmed appearance of this type of enemy equipment on the front since its official presentation in spring 2024.

The Russian platform was developed as a multifunctional engineering vehicle, primarily intended for mine-clearing operations. During a public demonstration in April 2024, the “Chelnok” was showcased as a carrier of the UR-83P demining system.

The complex is sizable: 3.8 meters long, 2.5 meters wide, and 3.4 meters tall, with an empty weight of 1,350 kg. The robot can reach 50 km/h on land and has amphibious capabilities, crossing water obstacles at up to 5 km/h.

Russian forces carried out over 100 strikes in the Sumy region, injuring a woman.

Occupiers attacked Zaporizhzhia with guided bombs and MLRS, while also striking Dnipropetrovsk region.

A Russian drone attack in Zaporizhzhia injured one person and damaged a State Emergency Service vehicle.
