US missile strikes on Iranian girls’ school kill 165 children in Minab

US forces launched a double missile attack on a girls’ school in Minab, Iran, killing 165 children. The second strike hit survivors who had taken shelter in a prayer hall, according to two rescuers and the father of a deceased girl interviewed by Middle East Eye.

Eyewitnesses described the double-tap nature of the strikes, where the initial blast was followed by a second targeting those fleeing or sheltering from the first. Turkish opposition leader Özlem Özel condemned the incident, stating, “If 150 chicks had died, people would be outraged. But when 150 little girls are killed by American bombings, nobody even notices.” Recent deaths across Iran have now surpassed one thousand.

This tragic event has sparked international concern over civilian casualties and may escalate regional tensions, potentially fueling further anti-war demonstrations and diplomatic challenges.
