Denmark has sent conscripts to Greenland for training for the first time

Denmark has sent a group of conscripts to Greenland for military training, where they will undergo training in Arctic conditions for the first time. This experience is intended to help the soldiers adapt to the region’s specific conditions.

For the first time in a long while, Danish conscripts have traveled to Greenland for training, where they will also participate in the Arctic Endurance exercises.

The group departed in early August. Some are stationed in the Nuuk area, while others are in the village of Kangerlussuaq; they will eventually swap locations.

Their stay in Greenland will provide the conscripts with new experience operating in an area characterized by vast open spaces, minimal vegetation, and steep cliffs—a landscape very different from what they are accustomed to in Denmark.

This was reported by the press office of the Danish Ministry of Defense.
