Children and grandchildren carried King Harald’s coffin to the chapel
The coffin of Norway’s King Harald was moved to the chapel of the Royal Palace in Oslo. It had previously been displayed in one of the palace’s salons, YLE News reports, citing, among others, Norwegian broadcaster NRK.

Harald’s children and grandchildren carried the coffin. Marius Borg Høiby, Queen Mette-Marit’s eldest son from a previous relationship, also took part in the ceremony.
According to YLE News, Høiby was sentenced in the summer for several sexual offences. He is in custody but was granted permission to stay at home at the royal couple’s Skaugum residence. He also wears an electronic tag.

Permission to take part in ceremonies
Police confirmed to Norwegian TV channel TV 2 that Marius Borg Høiby had been granted permission to leave his place of residence in order to carry the coffin and attend the funeral.
The palace chapel will be open to visitors from Tuesday afternoon until the evening before the funeral. The funeral will take place at Oslo Cathedral on Wednesday, September 9.
Harald ascended the throne in January 1991. He died on Friday at the age of 89.
