A drone attacked the governor of Belgorod region during a border inspection
Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of the Belgorod Region, was attacked by a drone during a visit to the border village of Smorodino.
The incident occurred on Sunday, March 22, 2026, while Gladkov was inspecting the aftermath of previous shelling and speaking with local residents.
According to reports from Russian media and official channels, a drone appeared in the sky while the official was speaking with civilians.
Gladkov and his entourage were forced to seek shelter in a local cultural center.
As a reminder, there will be no hot water in Belgorod, Russia, until the end of April.
Russians have also accused Ukraine of another attack on Belgorod.
