The FSB has stated that a terrorist attack was carried out against the leadership of Roskomnadzor in an attempt to thwart the blocking of Telegram
The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation reported that it had allegedly foiled an assassination attempt against the leadership of Roskomnadzor, which, according to their account, was being planned with the involvement of Ukrainian intelligence agencies.

The FSB claims that a group of Russians was recruited via Telegram to plant an explosive device in the officials’ car. According to Russian intelligence, the goal may have been to disrupt measures aimed at “ensuring information security,” specifically the blocking of Telegram.
The FSB also announced the detention of seven individuals in Moscow, Ufa, Novosibirsk, and Yaroslavl. According to their information, the group was allegedly coordinated by a Moscow resident born in 2004, who reportedly offered armed resistance during his arrest and was killed.
During the searches, the agency claims, symbols and materials associated in Russia with neo-Nazi and Ukrainian paramilitary groups were seized from the suspects.
