SK Telecom CEO attends GSMA event in Malaysia
SK Telecom CEO Jeong Jae-hoon attended a GSMA regional event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. According to the company, he met with telecommunications industry representatives from countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
Artificial intelligence and network reliability
As The Korea Herald reports, SK Telecom said participants discussed current industry issues in the era of artificial intelligence. Topics included AI sovereignty and approaches to building reliable telecommunications networks.
The company announced Jeong Jae-hoon's participation in the event on Thursday. The event itself took place on Wednesday in Kuala Lumpur.

Meeting with GSMA chief
During the event, Jeong Jae-hoon also met with GSMA Director General Vivek Badrinath. According to SK Telecom, they discussed identifying new AI-related growth opportunities, as well as areas of cooperation based on the company's AI full-stack strategy.
GSMA was founded in 1995. The organization represents about 800 mobile network operators and hundreds of companies in the broader mobile ecosystem.
