Imports of European beer through Ningbo reach 107 million yuan — ECNS
The port of Ningbo in China’s Zhejiang Province imported beer from Europe worth 107 million yuan, or about $15 million, in the first eight months of 2026. This is 3.5% more than in the same period last year, ECNS reports, citing Ningbo Customs.
Supplies from Europe
Beer arrived in Ningbo from major European producing countries, including Germany, France, and Belgium. According to customs data, the range of imported products is becoming increasingly diverse.
With the support of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, the port of Ningbo has become an important entry point for European beer into East China and for its further supply to markets across the country.

Customs clearance
A representative of a local freight forwarding company said that from January to August, the company processed import declarations for European beer worth more than 900,000 yuan. The company plans to expand its declaration services to other imported goods.
Ningbo Customs has simplified customs clearance procedures and optimized inspections of imported food products. The agency has also strengthened guidance on compliance with requirements to help ensure product quality and safety.
