India rejects Pakistan's claims over ship collision — The Hindu

India has rejected Pakistan's claims regarding a collision between a Pakistani vessel and an Indian Navy ship in the Arabian Sea. Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that New Delhi does not agree with the accusations and assumptions set out in Islamabad's response to the diplomatic protest.

Diplomatic protest

On September 16, India summoned Pakistan's chargé d'affaires and lodged a strong protest over the actions of a Pakistan Navy vessel. The Indian side called the vessel's conduct unacceptable and stated that it had caused the collision.

Incident in the Arabian Sea

According to India, the incident occurred on the night of September 15 in the northern part of the Arabian Sea. The Pakistani vessel approached an Indian Navy ship that was carrying out a routine surveillance mission.

On September 18, Jaiswal said that India had reviewed Pakistan's response to the protest. He called it an expected evasion of the substance of the issue and stressed that New Delhi rejects the claims put forward by Pakistan. This was reported by The Hindu.
