Iran has tried to kill Trump twice — Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the Iranian regime has made two attempts to assassinate U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to the head of the Israeli government, Tehran’s terrorist activities targeting the American leader have not ceased and continue to this day.

During an interview with NewsMax, Netanyahu called on the international community to recall Iran’s role on the international stage even before the start of large-scale military operations.

He described the country as the “main bully” of the Middle East and a leading sponsor of state terrorism, whose activities span multiple continents.

The Israeli prime minister emphasized that Iranian influence has even spread to the Western Hemisphere, where Tehran is actively cooperating with the regime in Venezuela.

According to him, Iranian forces and their proxies have killed or maimed more U.S. citizens over the past decades than any other hostile force.

Netanyahu paid particular attention to direct attacks on American officials and institutions.

He noted that Iranian agents have twice attempted to assassinate U.S. President Donald Trump, and these efforts remain a priority for the Islamist regime to this day.

“Thousands upon thousands have been killed and maimed in Afghanistan by Iranian IEDs. They bombed your embassies. They tried to kill President Trump twice. They are still trying to kill him. And most importantly—they chant ‘Death to America,’” the Israeli prime minister concluded, describing the scale of the threat.

As a reminder, Israel struck Iran’s air defense systems near the Caspian Sea.

Also, the U.S. and Israel have different goals in the war with Iran.
