Iran's Mehr news agency released an undated video of Mojtaba Khamenei
The Iranian state-run Mehr news agency has released a 12-second, undated video that the agency claims shows Mojtaba Khamenei. According to NDTV World, the footage was released amid ongoing speculation about the health of Iran’s new Supreme Leader.
In the video, a man wearing a black turban and light gray clothing is sitting on a carpet in an indoor room and talking with people nearby. In its accompanying caption, Mehr described the clip as the first publicly released video of Mojtaba Khamenei. It is not specified exactly when or where it was filmed.

NDTV World notes that on March 20, the state broadcaster IRIB had already published a similar clip without specifying the date or location of filming. At that time, the broadcaster described it as a video of Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei teaching religious sciences.
According to the publication, following Mojtaba Khamenei’s appointment as Iran’s third Supreme Leader on March 8, state media circulated his written statements but did not publish any photos or audio recordings of him. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated this week that communication with him is currently very difficult, while adding that he had held productive meetings with him. NDTV World also cites a statement by U.S. President Donald Trump last month that Mojtaba Khamenei had “90 percent disappeared,” as well as a report by Israel’s Channel 14 about his allegedly poor health.
