Lithuania Has Allocated an Additional €15 Million for Ukraine's Recovery — Sibiga
Lithuania has allocated an additional €15 million for projects aimed at Ukraine’s recovery and strengthening its resilience. The funds will be channeled through the World Bank and the European Investment Bank (EIB), Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga announced Wednesday evening.
“Thank you, Lithuania, for another 15 million euros for Ukraine’s recovery and resilience through the World Bank and the EIB. Lithuania has stood shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine from the very beginning and continues to support this aid with practical solutions that help our country recover and become stronger,” Sibiga wrote on the social media platform X.
Lithuania has extended temporary protection for Ukrainians until 2028, but there is a caveat.
Ukrainian authorities have appealed to the European Union with a proposal to exclude men aged 23 to 60 from the temporary protection mechanism. This refers to Ukrainian citizens of draft age who are currently in EU countries.
