Netanyahu considers trip to Texas during US visit — Jerusalem Post
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is considering the possibility of visiting Texas in the United States during a short trip to attend the UN General Assembly in New York. The Jerusalem Post reports, citing a diplomatic source.
According to the publication, a team preparing the visit is already in the state and is examining the possibility of such a trip. No final decision has yet been made on including Texas in the itinerary. It is also currently unknown what specific event or meeting could be the reason for the possible visit.
Two-day trip to the United States
Netanyahu's visit to the United States is expected to last only two days, as he must return to Israel before the start of the Sukkot holiday. Due to the tight schedule, questions about the travel plan have arisen even among officials involved in its preparation.
One option is that the Israeli prime minister will not stay overnight in New York but will arrive there only to address the UN General Assembly. He may spend his only night in the United States in Texas or another location that has not yet been determined.

Texas' ties with Israel
Several prominent Republican politicians who support Israel, including Senator Ted Cruz, are based in Texas. The state has also become an important center for technological, investment and trade ties with Israel.
According to official state data, trade between Texas and Israel amounted to approximately $4 billion in 2024. Over the previous decade, the state reported 34 Israeli investment projects worth about $3.2 billion in total, which created more than 4,200 jobs. Earlier this year, Texas doubled its investments in Israel Bonds to approximately $280 million and is working on a plan to establish a state economic office in Jerusalem.
Netanyahu is expected to address the UN General Assembly next Thursday, at approximately 9:00 p.m. Israel time.
