In Germany, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV) has launched a hotline for immigrants and refugees from authoritarian countries who fear persecution.

People facing threats, surveillance, repression, or attempted abductions can contact the hotline. This primarily applies to journalists, dissidents, and members of the LGBT community.

According to the BfV, the information received from applicants can help intelligence agencies identify suspects and prevent specific threats.
