UAE delivers 781 tonnes of aid to Gaza — The National
The United Arab Emirates delivered 781 tonnes of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, Palestine, including food and materials for setting up temporary housing, as well as nine water tankers. The cargo was delivered in four convoys of 57 trucks, The National reports.
Supplies through Egypt
Large volumes of humanitarian cargo continue to be prepared at the UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Centre in El Arish, Egypt, and then transported to the Gaza Strip. The nine water tankers are intended to help meet the basic needs of the enclave’s civilian population.
According to the publication, since the start of the humanitarian campaign launched after the beginning of the war in Gaza in October 2023, the UAE has sent 14,290 trucks carrying 136,439 tonnes of aid.

Medical and financial support
In August, the Emirates reported more than a thousand days of continuous support for Gaza and assistance exceeding 14.2 billion dirhams, or $3.89 billion. According to The National, these funds were used, among other things, to establish a floating hospital in Egypt and two medical centres in Gaza.
Thousands of patients, including people with cancer and injuries sustained during the war, were transported to the UAE for treatment. The Step of Hope programme, launched in June to assist people who have lost limbs, has already provided prostheses to dozens of Palestinians.
Humanitarian situation
According to Israeli estimates, 1,200 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks on October 7, 2023, and another 251 people were taken hostage. According to Gaza health authorities, more than 73,700 Palestinians have been killed as a result of Israel’s military campaign. A US-backed ceasefire in October 2025 halted large-scale hostilities, but Israeli strikes have continued.
