The UAE has accused Iran of attacking two ships — Reuters
The United Arab Emirates government has blamed Iran for the attack on two vessels belonging to the state-owned oil company ADNOC in the Strait of Hormuz. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs made this statement on August 14.
In particular, the Ministry condemned what it called a “hostile Iranian attack” on two ADNOC vessels.
According to the statement, Iran carried out “acts of piracy” by targeting commercial shipping and using the strait as a tool for economic pressure or blackmail, posing a direct threat to regional stability and global energy security.
This was the second such incident involving ADNOS vessels in less than a week. Earlier on Saturday, the UAE also condemned an Iranian attack on one of the company’s vessels passing through the strait.
Previously, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had threatened to take action against vessels transiting the strait if they were linked to Tehran’s adversaries or failed to comply with Iranian directives.

As a reminder, 56 people have been executed in Iran, and more than 100 others may face execution.
