Polish WB Group unveils Warmate 30 jet drone
Polish defense company WB Group has unveiled the new Warmate 30 jet strike unmanned aerial vehicle in Kielce. The aircraft belongs to the loitering munition class and is designed to detect and engage high-priority, time-sensitive targets at long range, Breaking Defense reports.
Warmate 30 specifications
According to WB Group, the Warmate 30 can carry a 30 kg warhead. The UAV is built in a flying-wing configuration with flaperons. Its composite construction is intended, according to the manufacturer, to reduce radar and thermal signatures.
The drone is equipped with a Polish-made turbojet engine and a rocket booster. The company claims a maximum speed of 450 km/h, a cruising speed of more than 150 km/h, a range of about 250 km, and an endurance of more than one hour. In attack mode, the aircraft can fly along designated waypoints and loiter over the target.
Integration with Gladius
WB Group states that the Warmate 30 can be fully integrated with the Gladius reconnaissance-strike system and the Topaz control system. This is intended to ensure continuous data exchange between platforms during real-time combat operations.

The Gladius system, developed by WB Group, is designed for use as part of batteries. It provides for the use of different types of UAVs launched from ground vehicles equipped with universal launchers or from towed launchers.
According to information released in June by Lieutenant General Sławomir Owczarek, First Deputy Commander of the Polish Armed Forces, the Polish army has received four battery-level Gladius fire modules. In May, WB Group signed a contract with the Armament Agency of Poland's Ministry of National Defence to supply another 12 such modules for unmanned reconnaissance-strike systems. Three modules are planned for delivery in 2028 and six in 2029.
WB Group CEO Piotr Wojciechowski said that the first Warmate 30 prototypes have been manufactured and tested since last year, and that the system is moving into serial production. The company is also testing Gladius 2 variants with and without a booster for launch from a launch pad. Development of Gladius 3 and Gladius 4 is ongoing, with the launch of Gladius 3 scheduled for 2027.
