Poland is preparing its 50th military aid package for Ukraine
Poland has begun preparing its 50th military aid package for Ukraine. This was announced by Vasyl Bodnar, Ukraine’s ambassador to Poland, who noted that Warsaw continues to support the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to the ambassador, despite recent tensions in Polish-Ukrainian relations, the supply of military aid to Ukraine continues.
“The delivery of military aid to Ukraine is currently ongoing. The 50th package is being prepared,” Bodnar said.
He emphasized that Poland is a participant in both the PURL and the “Coalition of the Resolute,” as well as the Czech initiative.
“We’re not talking about this right now because we’re currently immersed in historical discourse and the issue of how to assess Bandera. But in reality, shells paid for by the Polish side are reaching the front lines,” Bodnar noted.
“If the necessary equipment or supplies are being sent to help defend the country today, then we should only thank Poland, rather than looking for excuses to start yet another quarrel,” he added in an interview with the European Parliament.
Earlier, Jana Černochová, a former Czech defense minister and member of the Chamber of Deputies, called the far-right SPD party’s initiative to strip Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of the Order of the White Lion groundless and shameful.
The Czech right-wing populist SPD party stated that it would seek to strip Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of the Czech Republic’s highest state award—the Order of the White Lion.
The decision to revoke Poland’s highest state honor, the Order of the White Eagle, from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is not a unilateral act by the president. Under Polish procedure, the president may initiate the revocation of an award, but the corresponding act requires the countersignature (co-signature) of the Prime Minister of Poland.
